Panel vacancies for Avich area funds
Three vacancies have arisen for people living, working or volunteering in the Avich area to serve on the local panel that makes grant awards from the new River Avich Hydro Community Benefit Fund.
The River Avich Hydro Community Benefit fund is provided by Awesome Energy Dalriada Ltd, the community-run owner and operator of the River Avich Hydro scheme. It will support charitable activity that benefits the settlements of Dalavich, Inverinan, Kilmaha and Lochavich. The locally appointed panel will meet up to twice each year to recommend grant awards.
There is also a vacancy for one person to represent the Avich communities on the panel that makes grant awards from the established An Suidhe Wind Farm Community Fund. The An Suidhe Panel meets once a year to recommend grant awards from that fund.
This is an opportunity for local people to help ensure the two funds are spent on projects that provide real benefit to the local community. Panel membership is a voluntary role, though travel and childcare costs related to meetings will be reimbursed. Nominees must live, work or volunteer in the Dalavich, Inverinan, Kilmaha or Lochavich areas. Role profiles for each panel can be found below.
