Community Fund Adviser Vacancy
We have an exciting opportunity for a well organised and motivated individual to join our Communities Team, co-ordinating a portfolio of community benefit funds in the south of Scotland.
The post is home-based (with regular travel in the area), the areas covered include Dumfries and Galloway, the Borders, South Ayrshire and East Ayrshire
- Home based, covering the south of Scotland
- Hours Full-time, 35 hours per week (24-month contract)
- Salary: £33,942 (based on 35 hours per week)
- Holiday entitlement: 35 days (incl.10 public holidays)
About the role
The Communities Team distributes place-based funds coming from a range of sources, notably onshore and offshore wind farms. The South of Scotland team currently works with communities in Dumfries and Galloway, the Borders, South Ayrshire and East Ayrshire. We provide fund governance, grant administration and related services for a range of commercial and community sector clients, combined with a commitment to community-led approaches to fund strategy and distribution.
Your key responsibilities will include supporting local fund decision-making bodies with fund strategy and spend, managing day to day grantmaking processes, promoting funds, helping to set up new funds, and engaging with a broad range of community stakeholders to maximise funds’ impact.
