Foundation Scotland offers a diverse range of funding programmes for organisations working to benefit a range of communities across Scotland. 

Some of these programme are Scotland wide and some are restricted to particular sectors and/or geographies.  Each programme has its own criteria and/or outcomes.

We distribute the funds on behalf of companies, individuals and charitable trusts.

We are also a leading provider of community benefit funds in Scotland.

Using the table below, you can search for funds that are currently available in your area and find details about how to apply.

If you are applying via our express grants, we will match your application to the criteria of the various funds we have available at the time.  Criteria determines which parts of Scotland or types of project any particular fund can be used for.

FRAN TRUST To fund scholarly activity in the fields of feminism, gender or women's studies. You must be a post graduate student attending an academic conference to present a paper on gender related topics. Up to a maxium of £500

Academic papers must have a gender focus.  Please note that Poster presentations will not be accepted.

Students must have confirmation that their paper has been accepted,  we also require a letter of support from an academic supervisor in addition to the completed application form. Once the conference has taken place you will be asked to submit a copy of the conference paper.

GATEWAY EXCHANGE FUND To support those seeking funding assistance to promote healing, creative self expression, transformation and renewal through innovative projects. Special consideration to projects relating to drug addiction, HIV, mental health and counselling projects as well as activities supporting prisoners and ex-prisoners Between £250 - £2000

Applications can be made through the Express Grants programme The Trust may, very occasionally, consider applications for larger grants if funds allow. Please send an enquiry form to Foundation Scotland if you have a project which strongly meets the priorities above and you are looking for over £2,000.

 

HEINEKEN FUND To encourage health, wellbeing, self-esteem and self confidence. Or to encourage community pride. Between £250 and £2000

Via our express grant programme

JUNE AND DOUGLAS HUME MEMORIAL FUND To provide financial assistance for the terminally ill who wish to spend their final days in their own homes. Priority will be given to applicants from the West of Scotland.

NATIONWIDE BUILDING SOCIETY COMMUNITY GRANTS To support housing projects that will enable more people to have a place to call home. £10,000 - £25,000 for applications from single organisations £10,000 - £50,000 for applications form partnerships and consortia
