Local bids to Clashindarroch Wind Farm community fund wanted!

Clashindarroch Wind Farm Community Fund is open for a second round of funding applications and local groups from the areas served by the Huntly, Strathbogie and Tap O Noth Community Councils and Cabrach Community Association areas, are being encouraged to apply for grants.

The fund welcomes applicants that deliver projects which support positive change and strategic impact within the communities. Grants of up to £25,000 are available.

The Clashindarroch Wind Farm Community Fund is managed by Foundation Scotland on behalf of Vattenfall the developer of the Clashindarroch Wind Farm.

Pete Kunz, Service Leader, Vattenfall said; “We have had a fantastic response from the local community to date. I look forward to hearing more about the second round of grants, please get in touch with your ideas.”

Iain Catto, Foundation Scotland’s local representative added, “The first round of funding produced some excellent applications from some vibrant local groups. I hope that the second round will be even more popular.”

Applicants should apply before the deadline of 5th September. It is anticipated to have a further round of applications invited early in 2016.

The Fund’s purpose, priorities and award levels have been informed by the Clashindarroch Conversation which community members contributed to in 2014. The results of the Conversation and applications forms are available at /programmes/clashindarroch/.
