CREPL

Background

The Carscreugh Renewable Energy Park Ltd  (CREPL) became operational in 2014. It will pay community benefit for the 25 year lifetime of the wind farm.

Six community councils are eligible for funding through the CREPL Community Fund: 

  • Cree Valley
  • Kirkcowan
  • New Luce
  • Port William
  • Stoneykirk
  • Old Luce

Making A Difference

The Fund supports a broad range of community activity and development by supporting the charitable activities of community, not-for-profit groups. This includes, but is not restricted to:

  • The promotion of sustainable development
  •  The advancement of environmental protection or improvement.
  • The advancement of citizenship or community development
  • The advancement of culture or science.
  • The advancement of education.
  • The advancement of public participation in sport and general physical activity.

How to Apply

Applications for grants that will benefit one of the six eligible Fund areas are decided upon by the local Community Councils that receive CREPL funding directly each year. 

Groups that wish to apply for funding should contact their local Community Council directly. Contact details for local Community Council members can be found on the Dumfries & Galloway council website.
