Background

Hadyard Hill Community Fund was established to administer community benefit funds from the SSE Hadyard Hill wind farm. The fund primarily supports projects located within or directly benefiting one or more of the three community council areas of Barr, Pinmore & Pinwherry and Dailly in South Ayrshire.

Aim

Hadyard Hill will support charitable activities that support the rural regeneration and sustainability of Barr, Pinmore & Pinwherry and Dailly. Awards can support a wide range of costs and activities including equipment costs, running costs for local groups, staff or sessional worker costs, consultations, maintenance or refurbishment of community facilities etc.

  • To purchase new chairs for use in hall.

Girvan Community Sport Hub

  • To provide a weekly multi-sports activity session for Primary-age children in Dailly.
  • Amount Awarded £4,400

Ayrshire Rivers Trust

  • To contribute to the cost of outdoor learning classes for 5 schools over three days, during which 400 trees will be planted and 30 bird boxes created and installed.
  • Amount awarded: £4,977

Girvan & South Carrick Community First Responders

  • To supply medical kit bags for trained community first responders.
  • Amount awarded: £5,000

The Stinchar Valley Magazine

  • To produce and circulate the Stinchar Valley Magazine 4 times each year during 2018 and 2019
  • Amount awarded: £4,785
