Transformation and Growth Programme

Background

The aim of the Transformation and Growth Programme is to support grassroots organisations addressing local housing and homelessness issues by providing organisational development grants to build sustainability, develop ideas and deploy innovative solutions; forming a more sustainable local sector with greater capacity to support people in vulnerable housing situations.

Aim

Grants between between £10,000 - £25,000 are available for one year.

Whilst the following is not an exhaustive list, we would expect to see some clear impact in at least one of these areas as a result of the funding:

  • An enhancement in skills or knowledge within your organisation

  • An expanded and/or more efficient and effective service offer

  • More robust organisational structures and processes

  • Strengthened connections and/or a greater perception of your organisation locally

Essentially, the aim of the programme is to unlock the potential in organisations to build sustainability, develop ideas and deploy innovative solutions to better tackling the housing crisis.

Eligibility

Organisations should be addressing at least one of these three priority themes:

  •  Increasing economic well-being

  • Improving the supply of low-income housing and housing opportunity

  • Preventing homelessness

In addition

  •  Organisations must be based in either Glasgow City or City of Edinburgh local authorities only.

  • You must be a registered charity, SCIO, Company Limited by Guarantee or a not for profit CIC and you must have at least ONE member of paid staff (full time or part time).

  • The grants will not provide funding for direct delivery of services, nor core funding, except where it covers a relevant member of staff’s time to engage in these organisational development activities

Timescales

Complete applications, including all supporting documents, must be received by Monday 1st July at 12pm.

Due to limited funds available for this round we may have to close the programme to new applications being registered before this date depending on the volume, so please do not wait until the deadline to apply.  NB We will ensure everyone who is in the process of completing an application will still have the opportunity to submit their form.
