Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) Community Fund

  • Area: East Lothian, Fife, Scottish Borders
  • Fund arrangements to be confirmed, amounts currently undecided: No fixed amount
Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) Community Fund arrangements are under development. Over the first 3 years, the Fund will be supporting charitable activity benefiting the East Lammermuir Community Council area (in East Lothian); five Community Council areas along the Fife coast (Elie and Royal Burgh of Earlsferry; St. Monans, Abercrombie & District; Royal Burgh of Pittenweem and District; Royal Burghs of Kilrenny, Anstruther and of Cellardyke; and Royal Burgh of Crail and District); and five Community Council areas along the Berwickshire coast (Cockburnspath & Cove, Coldingham, St Abbs, Eyemouth and Burnmouth). Arrangements will be communicated as they are finalised.

Network Rail Community Fund

  • Area: All of Scotland
  • Grant size: Up to £3,000
The Network Rail Community Fund intends to support community-led projects that produce social value.

North Rhins Wind Farm Community Fund

  • Area: Dumfries and Galloway
  • Grant size: Up to £3,500
The North Rhins Wind Farm became operational in 2010 and it will pay community benefit for the 25-year lifetime of the wind farm. Payments are made directly to Community Councils, or similar organisations, to use or distribute to groups that are active in their communities.

NorthConnect Legacy Fund

  • Area: Aberdeenshire
  • Grant size: Up to £1,500
The NorthConnect Legacy Fund supports community groups which benefit residents living within ten miles of the planned electrical interconnector between Scotland and Norway. This area includes Peterhead, Boddam, Cruden Bay, Mintlaw, St Fergus and Crimond.

Nourish the Nation Summer Food and Activity Programme

  • Area: Glasgow City
  • Grant size: Up to £10,000
Sainsbury's Nourish the Nation programme, in partnership with Comic Relief, aims to tackle food poverty by helping people access the balanced, nutritional, and sustainable food they need, right now and in the future by increasing access to holiday food and activity schemes for children.

Old Luce Community Fund

  • Area: Dumfries and Galloway
  • Grant size: No fixed amount
This charitable fund is provided by Barlockhart Moor Wind Energy Ltd; Carscreugh Renewable Energy Park Ltd; Glenchamber Wind Energy Ltd, SSE, 2020 Renewables, Greencoat and ScottishPower Renewables, owners of nearby wind farms, who channel their community benefit funds through this single fund.

Old Luce Education and Training Fund

  • Area: Dumfries and Galloway
  • Grant size: Up to £2,250
This fund provides bursaries to residents of the Old Luce Community Council area to help them access training and education opportunities that better equip them with the range of skills needed to enter or retain employment. 

ORIT Cumberhead Community Fund

  • Area: South Lanarkshire
  • Grant size: Up to £25,000
This Fund supports community projects benefiting those living in the Community Council areas of Coalburn & Lesmahagow in South Lanarkshire.

Patna Community Fund

  • Area: East Ayrshire
  • Grant size: Up to £10,000
The Patna Community Fund distributed funds provided by Greencoat from the South Kyle Wind Farm.

Patna Education & Training Fund

  • Area: East Ayrshire
  • Grant size: Up to £1,500
The Patna Education & Training Fund (PET Fund) provides grant support to residents living in the Patna Community Council area in East Ayrshire who wish to engage in study or training.

The fund began in 2023 and is provided by Greencoat UK, the current owner of South Kyle wind farm.

Pentland Floating Offshore Wind Farm Education and Training Fund

  • Area: Highland
  • Grant size: Up to £1,000
The purpose of the Pentland Floating Offshore Wind Farm Education and Training Fund is to provide scholarships to select students from Thurso and Farr High Schools who are going on to higher education and training courses focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Renewable Energy.

PF Charitable Trust

  • Area: All of Scotland
  • Grant size: Up to £5,000
The PF Charitable Trust's funding policy is to support work at community level and the Foundation provides a valuable service in targeting appropriate groups working in disability, health, children and families, youth work, or the elderly.
