What grants are available?

Foundation Scotland offers a number of funding awards, made up of money from the many different funds we distribute on behalf of companies, individuals, charitable trusts and community benefit funds.

If you click the map below you can search for funds that are currently available in your area, and details on how to apply.

If you are applying via our express grants programme, we will match your application to the criteria of the various funds we have available at the time.

Foundation Scotland also administers Resilient Scotland’s Start & Grow and Making Enterprise Happen  investment programmes.

FRAN TRUST To fund scholarly activity in the fields of feminism, gender or women's studies. You must be a post graduate student attending an academic conference to present a paper on gender related topics. Up to a maxium of £500

Students must have confirmation that their paper has been accepted,  we also require a letter of support from an academic supervisor in addition to the completed application form. Once the conference has taken place you will be asked to submit a copy of the conference paper.

GATEWAY EXCHANGE FUND To support those seeking funding assistance to promote healing, creative self expression, transformation and renewal through innovative projects. Special consideration to projects relating to drug addiction, HIV, mental health and counselling projects as well as activities supporting prisoners and ex-prisoners Between £250 - £2000

Applications can be made through the Express Grants programme The Trust may, very occasionally, consider applications for larger grants if funds allow. Please send an enquiry form to Foundation Scotland if you have a project which strongly meets the priorities above and you are looking for over £2,000.


HEINEKEN FUND To encourage health, wellbeing, self-esteem and self confidence. Or to encourage community pride. Between £250 and £2000

Via our express grant programme

JUNE AND DOUGLAS HUME MEMORIAL FUND To provide financial assistance for the terminally ill who wish to spend their final days in their own homes. Priority will be given to applicants from the West of Scotland.

SCOTCH WHISKY ACTION FUND TACKLING ALCOHOL RELATED HARM To invest in groups and organisations that wish to reduce the impact of alcohol-related harm in Scotland's communities. Awards if up to £25,000 for a one year period can be made.
