Ventient Energy Gordonstown Wind Farm Community Fund

The fund supports projects that benefit people living in the area served by Auchterless, Inverkeithny & Fisherford Community Council and the Fyvie and Rothienorman sub-divisions of the area served by Fyvie, Rothienorman and Monquhitter Community Council. 

Launched in 2013, the fund will receive £25,000 per year (index-linked) over the operating life of the wind farm, expected to be 25 years. 

During the first five years, donations to the fund were split as follows: 80% of funds available to Auchterless, Inverkeithny & Fisherford and 20% to Fyvie and Rothienorman.

In April 2019, Ventient Energy made some additional funding available. The two community councils then agreed to revise the split for the following five years until March 2024. The sub-funds are now split at 64% for Auchterless, Inverkeithny & Fisherford and 36% for Fyvie and Rothienorman. 

In 2020, the annual donation from Ventient Energy to the fund was £37,547, with just over £24,000 going to Auchterless, Inverkeithny & Fisherford Community Fund and just over £13,500 to Fyvie and Rothienorman Community Fund.
