EGL1 Community Benefit Fund Scotland webinar
Following the launch of the new EGL1 Community Benefit Fund Scotland fund, Foundation Scotland and Localgiving hosted a Webinar for applicants who were interested in finding out more about the Fund.
This webinar offered potential applicants, an opportunity to find out more information about this new community benefit fund and the application process - both for Grassroots Grants (administered by LocalGiving) of £1,000 to £20,000 and Local Grants (administered by Foundation Scotland) for awards of £20,000 - £500,000.
We had 25 people attend from groups and organisations across East Lothian and East Berwickshire interested in finding more.
Around £800,000 will be available in this round with £80,000 available for Grassroots Grants and £720,000 for Local grants.
We are encouraging organisations and interested parties with projects that will bring benefit to the communities of West Barns, Dunbar, East Lammermuir or Cockburnspath & Cove to come fund out more about the Fund.
The fund will focus on supporting local communities to deliver social, environmental and economic benefits by funding projects aligned with the following themes:
• Financial resilience and educational inclusion
• Employability support and skills development
• Social and digital inclusion, health and wellbeing, and active lifestyles
• Community facilities, spaces and buildings
• Green spaces and access to the natural environment
• Sustainable and inclusive transport
