Kingsburn & Earlsburn Wind Farm Community Funds

The Renantis Renewables Earlsburn Community Fund began in 2008. The fund supports charitable activity benefiting residents within the community council areas of Cambusbarron and Carron Valley in the Stirling local authority and Denny and District in the Falkirk local authority area.  It receives annual contributions from Renantis of £35,000 (inflation-adjusted) for the wind farm's lifetime, which is expected to be 25 years.

In 2016, the ‘Earlsburn North’ wind farm opened nearby, know locally as Kingsburn wind farm.  The Renantis Kingsburn Community Fund launched soon after, benefiting residents within the same three community council areas plus three new areas:  Fintry, Gargunnock and Kippen, all within Stirling local authority.  The fund receives annual contributions from Renantis Reewables of £112,500 (inflation-adjusted) for the wind farm's lifetime, which is expected to be 25 years.

To meet each area's needs, the Earlsburn and Kingsburn Funds are distributed via six sub-funds to enable local decision-making.  Each fund is managed differently.  To find out more, including application arrangements for each area, please follow the links below.
