About this fund

The Rooney Family Foundation was set up by members of the Rooney family, who are Trustees, to provide financial support for disadvantaged children and their families.

Purpose of this fund

The aim of the fund is to support organisations and projects providing vital care and support to disadvantaged children with disabilities, and their families, in the Scottish Borders and Edinburgh City.

Additional criteria

The fund will consider support for respite holidays for families, and any special equipment needs for the children.

Please note that costs related to a specific project/item which benefits the children/family directly are a priority over general organisational running/salary costs which won't be considered.

Organisations must be based in Scottish Borders or Edinburgh City only.

Please note there is an annual income cap of £100,000 for organisations to apply.
