Animation Premiere!

  • Date published: 06/10/22

Today we launched our first animation offering insight into who we are, what we do and how we make a difference.

The animation was created in partnership with Media Co-op in Glasgow, an award-winning production company and social enterprise who exclusively with the public sector, charities and social enterprises to create positive social change. Take a look...

Work on the animation began about five months ago and involved many workshops to explore the key messages we wanted to convey to viewers. The workshops included a number of staff from Foundation Scotland, some of our donors, applicants and representatives from Media Co-op.

Whilst the animation project started around five months ago, the work that influenced the content began almost a year ago. It was in October 2021 that we began to explore how Foundation Scotland could channel more funding towards activity that goes beyond short-term fixes to support enduring transformative change.

We have long supported the aims and aspirations of a wide range of donors. We look forward to continuing to do this but with a growing appetite and commitment to fund for long term prevevention alongside continued support for critical, immediate issues facing Scotland's communities."

Rachel Searle, Head of Communities & Impact

Last week we published Raising Our Gaze, a learning report about our journey over the past year and our collaboration with the Wellbeing Economy Alliance (Scotland). Developing a clear message about the difference we can make by working together with communities and donors was one of many outputs influenced by this journey. The animation offers just a glimpse at the work we've been doing behind the scenes. To delve a little deeper, we encourage everyone to also view our new How we make a difference webpage (link below).
