Carcant Community Benefit Fund is looking for new Panel members to help with grant making decisions

The Carcant Wind Farm Community Fund (Moorfoot) supports community projects benefiting those living in the Moorfoot Community Council area in Midlothian.

The fund is provided by Schroders Greencoat, the owners of the nearby Carcant Wind Farm and opened in 2010, and supports community projects benefiting those living in the Moorfoot Community Council area in Midlothian. 

The Greencoat Carcant Wind Farm Community Fund Panel was established to set priorities for use of the Community Fund and to advise on the distribution of grant awards to the community groups and charities. 

The fund provides grants to support charitable activities that:

  • Enhance quality of life for local residents.
  • Contribute to vibrant, healthy, successful and sustainable communities.
  • Promote community spirit and encourage community activity.

The panel is supported by Foundation Scotland, an independent grant-making charity that administers the Carcant (Moorfoot) Windfarm Community Fund on behalf of the local community.  Nominees must be aged 16 or over and live within Moorfoot Community Council.
