About this fund

The trust funds originate from the winding up the Queensberry House Hospital in Edinburgh which closed in 1996. The Trust supports projects based in Edinburgh providing support to the elderly. 

Purpose of this fund

The Queensberry Trust is looking to provide financial support to charities and community groups in Edinburgh that are providing support to elderly and those with dementia who are shielding or isolating as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 are available.

Types of support could include:

  • Practical support whether through shopping or help with minor repairs at home.
  • Provision of emotional support to people with dementia and their carers, and helping them stay connected to friends and family.
