Corriemoillie – Your Community Needs You!

10 May 2016

Foundation Scotland is inviting residents of Garve and District, Contin, Strathpeffer, Marybank, Scatwell and Strathconin, and Loch Broom to come along to Garve Hall on Wednesday 18th May at 6.30pm to discuss arrangements for the community benefit fund linked to the Corriemoillie Wind Farm.

EDF Energy Renewables (EDF ER) is providing a community benefit fund of £5000 per MW of installed capacity. Based on the wind farm’s proposed capacity of 48.45 MW this will total £242,250 each year.

Foundation Scotland have been commissioned by EDF ER to consult local people on the disbursement of the fund.
Grant Folley, Onshore Development Manager at EDF ER said “This is an opportunity for the local community to come along and share their ideas on how they would like to see funds administered to ensure they benefit the area.

I would like to encourage as many people as possible to come along on the 18th May to have their say and help shape the future direction of the Community Benefit Fund.”
