Drone Hill Community Fund to increase grant awards
17 December 2015
The Community Panel that makes decisions on grant awards from the Greencoat Drone Hill Community Fund has raised the maximum amount that local groups can apply for. From 1st January 2016, applicants can request up to £5,000 in funding towards their project.
The decision comes in light of the amount of funding currently held, and the Panel’s wish to ensure the maximum positive benefit from this. The Fund is provided by the owner of the Drone Hill Wind Farm, Greencoat UK, and makes grants to not-for-profit groups serving the areas of Cockburnspath & Cove, Coldingham, Grantshouse and Reston & Auchencrow.
The Community Panel is made up of representatives from all four communities, and has a role in deciding on Fund strategy and grant awards.
The next deadline for applications is 31st March 2016, with decisions made towards the end of May. Further information and application materials can be found at /programmes/drone-hill/
