Grants for women's groups

07 March 2014

The Women's Fund for Scotland is back in business, making small grants to projects across Scotland that support women's development, self sufficiency, and social and economic equality.

Grants of up to £2,000 are available to constituted, not for profit groups with an annual income under £250K, run by and for women working in four key areas; building skills and confidence, improving health and well-being, building social networks and moving on from violence.

Shona Blakely, Women’s Fund for Scotland Development Manager said “We are delighted to be back in business and would invite applications from projects across Scotland run by, and for women.

“As people around the world come together to celebrate International Women’s Day this Saturday, it is an opportunity for us to inspire grassroots women organisations to apply for funding; to ensure they can continue to provide opportunities so that all women in Scotland can realise their ambitions.”

Although this is an ongoing programme with no deadlines, the Women's Fund for Scotland currently has some funds which need to be distributed before the end of June and Foundation Scotland is keen to receive more applications from women's groups in the next two months.
