Greencoat Carcant Moorfoot

Community Fund

Background

Greencoat Carcant (Moorfoot) Community Fund supports community projects that benefit those living in the Moorfoot Community Council area in Midlothian. The Fund is provided by Greencoat Wind UK, the owner of Carcant Wind Farm.

The Fund provides an annual amount of £4,200 (rising in line with inflation)  which will be available over the operating life of the wind farm, which is expected to be 25 years.

A Community Panel, comprising up to seven people who live in the Community Council area, decide how grants are awarded from the Fund.

Groups and organisations working to benefit people in the Moorfoot area can to apply for a grant. Your group must have a constitution (a governing document or set of rules) and be set up on a not-for-profit basis. It does not need to be a registered charity to apply.
