Planning your philanthropy

We continue to work closely with our expanding client base to plan and implement effective approaches that suit their style of philanthropy – from efficient charitable giving to personalised strategic grant programmes designed to create lasting change in focused areas. Our focus is on increasing the value and impact of their giving.

For instance, we have worked closely with Toby and Kate Anstruther and local stakeholders in the East Neuk of Fife on a series of consultation events into local assets and opportunities culminating in a Community Conference in Anstruther. Our analysis from the Conference outcomes will inform a strategic approach to using independent funding from the Anstruthers’ East Neuk Community Fund to build on the area’s assets and promote thriving sustainable communities in the area.

We can arrange project visits for you to see first hand the difference they make to their beneficiaries.

One of our clients Judy Russell found these visits extremely helpful and informative particularly those she had funded. 'It was great to share what inspired me with other donors during our visit. Philanthropy is a very important part of my life and Foundation Scotland has provided support and flagged up projets to me and the giving circle that I am part of. Engaging with Foundation Scotland has helped me to be more responsible with my giving and to discover groups that I would not otherwise have been able to reach.'
