In recent years we have seen a marked decline in participants with decreasing fundraising income. Subsequently, we have taken the difficult decision to close the event. A new fund for community groups in Contin is being launched. The fund is provided by EDF Energy Renewables (EDF ER), and is linked to its Corriemoillie wind farm, was formally opened last week. EDF ER has been assisted in the set-up of the fund by independent grant-making body Foundation Scotland.
