Westfield Kinglassie

Community Fund

Background

The Westfield Kinglassie Community Fund benefits those living within the Kinglassie Community Council area in Fife. The Fund is provided by Ventient Energy, who own and operate the Westfield wind farm, and is administered by Foundation Scotland. The Fund opened to applications in September 2015.

Groups and organisations working to benefit people in the Kinglassie area can apply to the Fund for the costs of activities that meet with the outcomes described under ‘Making a Difference’ below. The Fund is open to constituted groups only. Individuals or un-constitued groups with ideas for projects should seek advice from Kinglassie Community Council, who run a separate ‘micro-grant’ scheme.

A Community Panel, made up of people who live, work or volunteer in the Kinglassie area, decides on the grants to be awarded from the Fund.

Please note: In exceptional cases the Panel will consider making an award larger than £4,000. Please contact Foundation Scotland if this is relevant to your group. Groups may also apply for more than one project at any time, on separate application forms. The Fund does not guarantee to support the regular annual activity of groups each year.
